History
Desheeya Vidyashala Samithi® (DVS) carries forward Deshiya Vidyashala—institutional work rooted in public duty. What follows is drawn from the society’s own record of those who shaped its administrative spine from the late 1940s onward, in the spirit of the original bilingual memorial.
Members of the Founding Administrative Board
The national path they led remains secure.
Decades of Presidency and Secretariat
Shri A.R. Badrinarayan presided over the administrative board from 1952 to 1995—Former Education Minister of the State and Freedom Fighter—a tireless service spanning decades.
Shri K.T. Shamayya Gowda served as Vice President from 1962—Former Municipal Council President and Former MLA—tireless service. Shri R.S. Ashwattanarayana served as Honorary Secretary from 1974—three decades of unmatched service.
Members of the Administrative Board
Joint Secretary Shri B.N. Satyanarayana; Honorary Treasurer Shri N. Pukaraj; Shri M.C. Maheshwarappa; Shri K.G. Subramanya; Shri K.S. Nagabhushan Shetty; Shri S.R. Nagaraja Shetty; Shri T.D. Administrators
Late Shri H.S. Narayana Bhat served as Administrator until 1993—a life well-lived in service of the institution. Passed away: 29 June 1993.
Shri V. Devendra served as Administrator (1993–1995)—First Principal of the D.V.S. Independent Pre-University College—one who steered the D.V.S. ship safely to shore.
The dedication and vision of these distinguished individuals form the bedrock of the D.V.S. institution’s growth.
